SIX BURNT IN A GHASTLY MOTOR ACCIDENT

Six persons had lost their lives in a motor accident which took place on the 24th of December 2014 along Akamkpa forest in Cross River State.
The accident which involved a Toyota picnic bus and a Toyata Hiace bus was headed towards Ikom from Calabar when the bus was about overtaking a truck, collided with the picnic bus which took six lives that were burnt beyond recognition including the driver of the Toyota Hiace bus.
The Cross River State Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Hygenuis Nwachukwu said that some of the dead victims have been identified by their relatives except for two who are yet to be identified.
He also said that the Safety Unit of the Command is carrying out investigations to ascertain the causes and recommend preventive measures to avoid future occurrences
