Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been struggling with injury ever since he suffered a thigh strain on international duty in September 2014 before injuring a calf in training in October.

He picked up another thigh injury in November and did not play again until 31 January, when he netted in the Reds' 2-0 win over West Ham. Daniel Sturridge has not played ever since the loss 2-1 to Manchester United in March 22. The former Chelsea striker who joined Liverpool January 2013 scored 24 goals in all competition for the Reds in the 2013-2014 season and helped the Reds to finish second in the league, but he has scored just eight goals in eighteen appearances for the Red this season due to his lingering injury from one to another. Sturridge has flown to United States to Boston Red Six medical department who worked on his thigh and calf last Christmas. Daniel Sturridge  25-year-old, will visit Dr Peter Asnis, an orthopaedic surgeon based in Boston to determine weather he needs a surgery on his ongoing hip problem.
The absence of Daniel Sturridge could definitely be the reason the Reds are sitting fifth position seven points behind Manchester United. Because he has proven he can be a force to be reckon with.
