Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Joe Agi exited the Federal High Court premises on his way to the Appeal Court to file an appeal for the epic judgement delivered by an Abuja High Court.
The SAN had challenged Ayade Benedict, governor of Cross River State on pre election allegations of forgery of birth certificates.
Ayade was today exonerated by the Federal High Court which implied in the judgement that the police should be requested to investigate the allegations.
Lawyer to Joe Agi (SAN) said that the verdict has loopholes all over it. "This verdict is an attempt to subvert the truth".
Joe Agi's lawyer concluded that the "judgement is not judgement but a push away".
For this, the lawyer said they are approaching the Appeal Court to repeal the verdict.
