Nigeria's apex bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), has banned the use of ATM Naira Card especially for Nigerians leaving abroad.
This trend compelled the Bayelsa Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, the common sense politician, to make some observations through his Twitter handle. These reactions come in seven tweets. Read them below as they appear on his handle.
1-If we must ban ATM card use abroad, why not ban it for politically exposed people like me instead of ordinary Nigerians that depend on it?
2-With BVN, the CBN has the account details of all elected and appointed politicians in Nigeria. Don't punish Nigerians for our wrongs!
3-A lot of the Small and Medium scale enterprises that employ the majority of Nigerians, depend on their ATM cards to do business abroad.
