Recently, there have been several 'rumours' flying around the sky, some of which purports that President Muhammadu Buhari is just a ceremonial head of state, and that in the real sense, his nephew Mamman Daura is unarguably the head of state who seats behind the scene of the political landscape of Nigeria, dictating every action as it affects the Nigerian economy, while He(Buhari) stands in as his spokesperson. A mere effigy, who only does the bid of his "behind the scene" nephew, Daura!

Such weighty allegations was what Pres. Buhari refuted yesterday Saturday, during an interview on air with Osasu Igbinedion on YouTube.

NHB garnered from a reliable source, that Buhari blatantly refuted such allegations about his nephew, Mamman Daura, being the Man,running the affairs at the Presidency.

Pres. Buhari stated categorically that he is the one in charge of the country and no one else.

This bold claim by Mr President is to my mind a reminder of that phrase in his inaugural speech a year ago which posits that ".. I belong to nobody".

Buhari further argues that  such allegations is malicious, such as was orchestrated by his enemies and that it is a fallacy, a farce allegedly amplified by Sahara Reporters.

In his words:

" I don’t know where they (Sahara Reporters) got their information from.

He continues:

"I stood for the election; I visited every local government in Nigeria by air, by road and so on. And we had one of the most credible elections.

So, whoever feels that he has lost (out) somehow is his own problem, I have no problem.”

On such issues as economic recession, increased  crime rate and insurgency, Buhari informed  that his administration is doing everything possible to ensure that Nigerians enjoy the dividends of democracy and positive Change.

He added that his Government is working round the clock to restore normalcy in those parts of the country experiencing one form of unrest or the other.
