Rev. Samson Ayokunle, the incumbent President of the largest Religious Body in Nigeria, to wit: Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has argued that the outcome of the US presential polls which saw the emergence of Mr. Donald Trump as the President-elect of the United States of America, shouldn't be a surprise.
According to him, God set Mr Donald Trump at such pole – position to fight the evils of immorality in the country.
According to our source, the Cleric unlike so many others who would have preferred that Hillary Clinton, the Democrat, wins the election, argued that there can be no other reason for Donald Trump emergence as the President- elect of America, except that God did position him at such a time as this in which America, had lost her way.
To buttress the words of the Cleric, America is in a Mess! She is deep- neck into immorality and perversion, it is for this reason that , God has now positioned Trump, to 'fight the Lord's battle' against the immoral life in the American society.
" It is regrettable that a nation that was once known as God’s own country is vastly becoming Sodom and Gomorrah".
He further asserts that 'there is an extent to which a nation would emphasise circular and individual liberty to the neglect of God’s absolute reign to the affairs of men'.
The CAN president made the following submissions at the 29th General Assembly of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), which was a 3-day programme tagged: “God of Life: Lead Nigeria to Justice, Peace and Dignity", that kicked off yesterday, Thursday at First Baptist Church, Garki – Abuja.
Rev Ayokunle called on all Americans to Repent or Perish!
For him, Americans must take watch and repent as the new administration would not tolerate the issues of immorality in the country any more.
