In a bid to ensure good governance and effective representation both to his immediate constituency, Cross River Southern Senatorial District and Nigerians at large, Chief Gershom Bassey, the distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other Senators at the National Assembly on 22nd November, 2016 were at the National Defence College, Abuja, meeting with the Commandant, Rear Admiral S. I. Alade for oversight visit. They seriously engaged the staff of the college through the physical supervision and monitoring of projects and programs.
The Legislature is charged to check, raise questions and where necessary, direct the Executive through the Ministers in charge or heads of various departments/agencies to appear before the NASS to defend any allegation of non performance, abandonment or shoddy execution of projects as appropriated.
