Manchester City ended their five horrible defeats against Barcelona on a night where technique and creativity were on course to overturn their first leg embarrassing 4-0 defeat against Barca at Camp Nou.

Manchester City were up to par as they overturn a devastating defeat in the hands of Spanish Champions Barcelona a forth night ago.

Despite having controlled the game in the early minutes, Barcelona broke forth with a counter attack after a failed free kick taken by Man City, as Man City defenders went to high unto the half of Barcelona. It was Neymar who ran  from the left side of midfield with the ball and gave a devastating splitting pass through the defense of Man City that left them helpless in the 20th min of play.

Iker Gundogan then drew level on 39th min after capitalising on a defensive mistake by Barca. Kevin De Bruyne continued his fine form as he struck a neatly converted free kick from 20 yards in the 51min. Gundogan then put the final nail on the coffin with 15mins from time as he scored from eight yards to make it 3-1 against Barca.

Barca tops Group C with nine points followed by Man City seven points from four games played. The remaining two games will strongly determines who tops the Group.
