It is no longer news that today, Rivers state will be having her Re- run election. Nonetheless, the previous incidence of pre-n- post election violence that left some innocent youth Corpses dead for participating in the State's election cannot be forgotten in a hurry as majority of the Batch A serving Corpers in the State have blatantly refused to partake in the election for fear of being killed like their counterparts.
Despite all security measures put forward by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), to ensure transparency and peaceful Election in the state, Hoodlums, have allegedly carted away with sensitive electoral materials in the wee hours of this morning.
According to our source, the Hoodlums stormed Ward 9, Unit 3 in Ogu, Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area and forcefully disappeared with the Materials for the election.
Negroidhaven garnered that the Sad incident took place at about 9.15am this morning. Some of the materials snatched away include result sheets and ballots papers which are very sensitive materials for the election as their absence from a polling unit could forestall an election from being contested.
Commenting on the Ugly incidence, Officials of Inec at the ward are amazed and nonplussed about the whole incidence.
They have contemplated annulling the election as soon as they receive directives from appropriate quarters.
It is however rumoured that the said ward were the Hoodlum a absconded with the materials are the exact ward of the former Governor of the State, Rotimi Amaechi who now seats as the incumbent Minister for Transport.
