In the calendar of the 2016 edition of Carnival Calabar yesterday 27th December was tagged, Cultural Parade (26th December was Youth Parade). On this auspicious day the 18 local government areas, designated states of the federation and countries as well displayed artifacts of their cultures.

Yesterday also was Bikers Parade. It will be recalled that power bikers display were first incorporated into the official schedule of Africa’s biggest street party —Carnival Calabar, last year.

In 2015, no fewer than 50 bikers where involved. NegroidHaven is yet to ascertain the exact number of power bikers that were involved this year.

Former governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Etim Duke (1999-2007) in the company of his wife was present yesterday on his power bike.
Reports has it that Mr Duke was the cynosure of the 2016 Bikers Parade. The reason is obvious —
the sheer impressiveness of his dragon bike turned him into the pole star that he has always been especially in matters of this kind!
In simple terms, Mr Donald Duke killed it! Pictures they say don’t lie.
