The Board and Management of the Greater Calabar Capital Development Authority congratulates His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, on his victory at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Your Excellency, the December 9th, 2016 verdict at the Supreme Court is a clear demonstration of your endorsement by God, and the people of the state; we equally felicitate with you on your reception by the good people of Cross River State and the conferment of the chieftaincy title, Tree Progress, to you by the Council of Chiefs in the state. This shows the level of love the people have for you due to your visionary leadership, especially the creation of the Greater Calabar Capital Development Authority saddled with the responsibility to provide institutional framework required to develop new cities within the southern senatorial districts to decongest the already densely populated state capital.
We pray that God's will continue to guide, direct and motivate you to greater achievements for the good people of the state.
I would likewise employ this opportunity to assure the indigenes and residents of the state that Governor Ayade's historic victory opens a new chapter of responsible and people-oriented governance with the masses only at sight.
Accordingly, my agency will be on the vanguard of translating the policy statements of my principal especially as it concerns the expansion of the state capital to concrete realities by partnering with relevant development institutions, etc.
I enjoin all Cross Riverians to be consistently law-abiding and peaceful because devoid of peace and tranquility there is no real progress at sight.
