The Greater Calabar Capital Development Authority welcomes all prospective tourists coming to Calabar for the yuletide season that after due consultations with security agencies assures all tourists and Cross Riverians, residents and tourists alike are free to move about, capture a gleams of the various tourists sites in the state like Tinapa Resort, Marina Resort, the Christmas Village, the International Museum, Botanical Garden, Free Trade Zone, Cultural Centre, the International Airport, Universities, Sea Port, Obudu Ranch Resort and participate in different festivals like the Carnival Calabar and Ekpe Festival, etc. Take photo shots during the Carnival but are reminded that the ban on fireworks is still enforced.
Calabar, the Cross River State capital has variously been described as the cleanest city in the country with the state establishing and fighting to maintain its status as a tourism hub, the tag does not exactly come as a surprise.
In the light of this we call on all Cross Riverians and business owners to keep their surroundings clean during and after the yuletide season as part of the contribution towards supporting the effort of the state government in ensuring a cleaner and wealthier environment.
