La Campagne Tropicana, Megwa back award in Calabar

It was indeed another swell time again for La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Africa’s lead privately owned resort as it backed another award to add with numerous ones it has won in the best for their hospitality and tourism endeavours that makes Nigeria one of the world’s lead tourism hotspot.
Located in Lagos and being the first ever themed resort in the world, La Campagne Tropicana was founded in 1984 spreading over 65 acres of land bounded by fresh water lagoon and clean sandy beaches that stretches four miles along warm equatorial waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The resort contains a mangrove forest that provides visitors with the opportunity to observe, at close quarters a wide variety of tropical flora and fauna that includes a wide variety of species including mangroves, monkeys, squirrels, bats, birds of various sorts like kingfishers, sea hawks, egrets, ducks and so much more.
This time the award was doled out to the beach resort was at the Calabar Fashion Show, at Transcorp Hotel, Calabar an event organized by Calabar International Tourism Exposition dubbed ‘Citenigeria’ held in partnership with the Office of Wife of Cross River Governor, Dr. Linda Ayade with sponsorship by Lafarge Plc.
The award, which came with its befitting grandeur also saw aviation expert, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Victoria Megwa winning an awards for her contribution in utilizing the aviation industry to purvey the Nigerian tourism to international community.
Receiving the awards on behalf of La Campagne Tropicana, Mr. Adekunle Adeyemo, executive assistant to Otunba (Dr.) Olawanle Akinboboye, founder of the resort said the award came with a responsibility to do more to affect the tourism industry and that the resort was neck deep into more innovations that will continue to sustain Nigeria Africa’s tourism destination.
On the other hand, Akanazu Brunu got the awards on behalf of Megwa who was unavoidably absent at the event.
