Chelsea Closes In On Fernando Llorente As Batshuayi Is Set To Go Out On Loan

The 23 year old Belgian international Mitchy Batshuayi, has failed to impress at the Bridge so far, prompting Antonio Conte to seek for intermediate alternative solution to fix both his short and long term plans.

Antonio Conte has turned his attention to Spanish striker Fernando Llorente as he prepares for the second half of the season which has been highly competitive so far. The Swansea's City striker has six goals already for Swansea this season, and Antonio sees him as an ideal replacement for Mitchy Batshuayi who is reportedly set to go out on loan in other to gain more playing time.

Llorente will turn 32 next month, and will no doubt bring his wealth of experience to Chelsea team. Antonio Conte who has worked with the Spanish international while managing Juventus, knows the strength and ability of the 6 foot 5 inch striker. Fernando will give Conte another dimension of football been proficient in the air, as well as good on the foot with his intimidating fiery size for defenders.

Fernando will no doubt relinquish the move, as Swansea City struggles for relegation battle. He is consider as a suitable back up for Diego Costa in other to ease the burden off Costa who has been phenomenal this season, scoring 14 goals in the League so far making him the League's top scorer.

It is yet to be made known, as Chelsea are considering either a short term loan or a permanent move for the striker considering his age, as Chelsea's policy doesn't offer a player over 30 more than a year contract.
