  [7 January 2016]

Few hours ago the social media cyber space went agog over the news which sees the surprised retirement of one of the most influential clergyman in Nigeria, to wit Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye from active ministerial office in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

For Details see my publication o
at , http://www.negroidhaven.org/2017/01/breaking-daddy-ea-adeboye-of-rccg.html?m=1

Corroborating the above an excerpt from Vanguard on the story published today 7 Jan 2017 at 2:01pm, avers:

"..Pastor Adeboye named a new General Overseer (GO), Pastor J.O Obayemi, as his his successor, ahead of his 75th birthday on 2 March.

The new GO is Pastor Joshua Obayemi was appointed the new GO at the Annual Ministers Thanksgiving at Shimawa, in Ogun State.

The newly appointed GO was the former Special Assistant to the General Overseer (SATGO) on Finance…"

Another source, www. herald.ng affirms:

"…The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Saturday appointed a new General Overseer (GO) for the church as he retires, ahead of his 75th birthday on 2 March.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the new GO is Pastor Joshua Obayemi."

I considered it apposite to write this rejoinder as well as provide the foregoing sources, so as to convince the doubting Thomas's and also put in perspectives the many grapevines and unfounded addendum to this story.

Some individuals seems to have exaggerated the news above. This is why I have decided to clear the air and make bold the exact implication of the story.

My point of clarifications are:

1# To start with, it is true that Pastor Adeboye has resigned.

2# However, It is a farce, an unfounded lie and a grapevine that his resignation was based on health reasons like some careless people have been  presuming and assuming.

3# This retirement and the appointment of a new successor by Pst.Adeboye is not intended to raise panic as a sorrowful shocker or a surprise, even though in a sense, it is a surprise.

But for those who  read Daddy Adeboye's 2017, three fold  prophecies, in which the Man of God, stated that this new year will be filled with surprises.

I guess this no doubt becomes one of those surprises which Daddy G.O had earlier posited.

To paraphrase Pst. Adeboye's comment " When God tells you to resign.. will you not do it?".

To this, I am inspired to know that there are still men of God who can still recognize God's voice and obey, just like Abraham in the Holy writ.

I hope this article helped you, the reader?
