Reigning queen of Cross River Most Beautiful Girl (CRMBG), Christy Anie, on Tuesday during the St. Valentine’s Day celebration, despite bee hives of activities outlined for the day for her took out copious time to visit the orphanage home located at Uwanse in Calabar.
Although visiting orphanage homes during seasons of celebrations is renown routine for all CRMBG queens, Anie told newsmen in Calabar that her spending time with the orphanage in an auspicious moment like Valentine’s day meant more to her.
As she walked past bed from bed and stooping to play with every kid who barely would let her go the queen pens on why any woman on earth born of a fellow woman would ever, for whatsoever reason nurse such dastardly intention of abandoning their own flesh and blood on the street.

Anie also seized the opportunity to urge girls in society to acquire skills that will keep them busy that will preempt any possibility of idleness that leads to habits capable of getting them into the hazel of getting pregnant at tender age. The trouble of keeping a baby at a tender age, the queen bothered, was far too aching.  
The CRMBG queen further called on orientation agencies and philanthropic bodies to assist the current Cross River Governor Ben Ayade’s led administration in ensuring that teenage pregnancies and street children are reduced to barest minimum.
She also commended the efforts of wife of Cross River Governor, Dr. Linda Ayade for using her Mediatrix Development Foundation non-for-profit organization in raising consciousness among the girl child thereby raising their par.
