Following the death of Christabel Itodo, 22 years old and wife to a military personnel resident at Eburutu Army Barracks, Calabar the Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr Inyang Asibong has confirmed first Lassa Fever casualty in the state.
Commissioner Inyang Asibong has mandated the State Epidemiology Team to begin contact tracing of all patients contact immediately for effective monitoring.
She has also assured the general public that health teams are on top of the situation.
