'The health and wellbeing of our future generations lies in your hands. Make the most of this opportunity and be good ambassadors of your families'. This was contained in an interview of the Commissioner for Health, Dr Inyang Asibong during the 10th matriculation ceremony of the college of health technology, Calabar.

The State Governor, His Excellency, Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade in an address read by the Deputy Governor His Excellency, Prof Ivara Isu welcomed the new students on board and challenged them to take their education very seriously as education is key to nation building.

The hallmark of the ceremony was the confirmation of Dr (Mrs) Janet Adah Alorye as the substantive Provost of the college.

In the same vein, the Honorable Commissioner aired her voice at the one-day Cross River State homegrown school feeding programme workshop where she lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the initiative whilst commending Governor Ayade for adopting it in the state.

The Cross River homegrown school feeding programme is just what we need to improve child indices. Multi mixed diet and quality of the food must be checked regularly; everything has to come in the right proportion and size. – Dr Asibong.
