Press Release: Ndoma-Egba elevated to a Life Bencher, Nigerian Body of Benchers

Twenty new Life Benchers were announced today at the meeting of the Body of Benchers which was presided over by Hon. Justice Walter Onnoghen, Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Justice Onnoghen was elected the Chairman of the Body at the meeting to succeed Chief Bandele Aiku while Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu, former Minister, was elected Vice Chairman.
The Body of Benchers is the highest organ of the Legal Profession in Nigeria with responsibility of admitting new members into the profession and discipline.
Amongst those admitted today include: Justices of the Supreme Court including Justice Akaahs, Justices of the Court of Appeal and the High Courts and eight eminent lawyers including Chief Bayo Ojo, ON, SAN, former President of the NBA  and Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, former Senate Leader and Chairman Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Charles Edogonwan SAN, former Attorney General of Edo State and Charles Ajuya, SAN, former Attorney General of Delta State.
