Spydaman to debut single on birthday

Leading Nigerian reggae dance-hall singer, Omin Churchill Nyong popularly known in the Nigerian musical scene as Spydaman is to debut a new single on his birthday, April 12, later this year, our reporter has learned.   

Spydaman, who is currently caretaker chairman of the Cross River wing of Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) remains one of Nigeria’s foremost musician who has continued to advance a niche in his genre of music called reggae dance hall; popular among his songs include ‘Dance Hall’; ‘Tido’; ‘Egwu’ which he featured Timaya;

‘Prayer’ featuring Terry G; ‘Mai Oh Mai’ featuring Ice Prince and YQ; ‘Telephone Lies,’ which he featured fellow dancehall diva Cynthia Morgan among others.

The new singles, which is titled ‘No Gberaga,’ our reporter gathered further, will be the first song the dancehall crooner will be doing since he became PMAN caretaker chair.

His last single ‘Plain Truth’ was released last October.

The new single, ‘No Gberaga’ as produced by Chief Ace is said to admonish people not to be carried away by little achievements but rather give thanks and praise to God for everything.
