On behalf of myself, family and the entire health sector in Cross River State, I condole with the family and the people of Nyanhasang community over the unfortunate loss of lives and sustained injuries in the electrocution accident caused by the disjointed high tension cable on the Thursday 20th of April.
As our workforce/resources are already in partnership with University of Calabar Teaching Hospital and other health institutions to ensure full recovery of those with different injuries sustained during the incident we pray for their full recovery.
We pray for their souls, spirits and bodies wishing this tragedy will not befall us again while at the same time advice that residents and indigenes across the length and breath of our dear state Cross River should be deliberately wary of the danger signals found at public places where we do business or have engagement of whatever nature.
