Pan African organization to donate inmates cell to Cross River Police Command

A non governmental organization, the Neo Black Movement (NBM) has said it will build two holding cells to support the infrastructure of the State Anti Robbery Squad in the Cross River State Police Command.
The construction of the holding cells is scheduled to begin soon said a member of the NBM in Calabar, Martins Efa who is the Chairman, local organizing committee of the organization's 40th anniversary, 39th annual convention and 13th annual lecture billed for May 18 – 21, 2017 in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
The cell is to be handed over to the Police during the convention which has as its theme; "Repositioning and restoring NBM ideals for a better future", with land already allocated by the Police for the project at the state command headquarters.
The organization said this forms part of its commitment to improve the administration of justice and in extension, the justice system.
The organization members will visit the internally displaced persons at their camps in Bakassi in "furthering of our humanitarian gesture of Social Justice and equality for all," and "to identify with them and also support them as part of our humanitarian project."
Also, it will carry out a tree planting exercise to support the state government's effort towards managing efficiently, its forest reserves, the NBM said.
The organization had participated in the 2016 green Carnival where the Governor had announced that over 5 million trees has been planted by his administration.
Other activities will include a free medical outreach, courtesy calls to notable personalities, novelty football match among others.
