A socio-Political group, Niger Delta Grassroots Movement, (NDGM) has said that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has shown more commitment to the plight of the Niger Delta people than past administrations.
The Chairman of the organization, Rt. Hon Paul Owo said this on Tuesday during the organization's meeting in Port Harcourt.
Owo maintained that the Buhari administration has done a lot for the region which is left unreported.
According to him, "President Buhari has shown more commitment to the plight of the Niger Delta people than our son Goodluck Jonathan or any other past President.
"If you check the number of sensitive appointments given to the region and many other programs which are left unreported, you would understand that Buhari is ready to develop the region".
Reiterating the commitment of the organization to work with government and relevant stakeholders to develop the area, he noted that, the only way to appreciate the President and the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC was to overwhelming support the party in 2019 general elections.
"The only way to appreciate the good deeds of the President and APC is to massively support the party in 2019. This region is one of the regions that gave Buhari the least votes in 2015 but today, we have benefitted especially in terms of appointment than every other region.
"To achieve the goal of collaborating with government and relevant stakeholders for sustainable development, we are setting up the structure of this organization across the nine Niger Delta states", he said.
