Comrades of the Students Union Government (SUG) of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Calabar, Friday, elected a new set of executive council members who will pilot the affairs of the Union for the next academic session NegroidHaven can report.
Comrade Afufu Anthony with a total votes of 1447 coasted gallantly to victory to be President-elect beating foremost rival David Uyimleshi with 1249 votes. Incidentally, Comrade Chioma Kalu Vice President-elect with a total vote of 1524 beat one Mary-Jane with total vote count of 1143.

3. Osama Emmanuella – Deputy Secretary General
4. Iregbu Jude – Director of Sports
5. Idaka Kelvin – Director of Information
6. Ofem Esther – Financial Secretary

8. Ofem Bassey – Director of Welfare

President-elect Anthony, who is a 300 level student of Education Administration, is an alumnus of UNICAL having graduated from Faculty of Science presumably Department of Chemistry. Anthony did his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Afikpo in Ebonyi State being the president of NDLEA Community Development Service (CDS) group of Corps Members passing out December 2016. He is reportedly a born again Christian.
