However, Miss Favour Michael, Cross River Studios head of communication, in a press statement on their principal’s behave said communications are in top gear with Cross River State Government through the state’s Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hon. Stella Odey to give the boy a befitting recognition on Children’s day celebration in the state.

The statement also said there are strong indications that Prof. Ben Ayade, the governor of the state who is a great fan of success among kids and youths in the state will, himself officially recognize Asuquo on the day and then further relationship with the boy will continue from there.

“A kid as Augustine Asuquo should be held in high regards in the state. Going all the way to Suzopol in faraway Europe and defying the number of countries he took such a swipe on to clinch such a great title is something historic for the state and Nigeria as a whole and should never be joked with.”

“But for the state government to indicate interest in the boy at this time is laudable. It shows that the current administration has great drive for its own not minding age. It behooves the country to take similar steps.”
