The Honourable Member representing Biase State Constituency at the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr Ogbor Ogbor aka Rootman, along with his colleagues, embarked on tree planting in Calabar, Cross River State capital city NegroidHaven.
According to Owai Obo, Mr Ogbor said that, “Trees improve air quality by producing oxygen. They also store carbon, offsetting harmful byproducts of fossil-fuel burning. They moderate the effects of sun and wind, and they clean the air by trapping dust, pollen and other pollutants”.

This was how the Honourable Member marked the planting of over fifty(50) memorial trees to commemorate Cross River State 50th anniversary at Emmanuel Edem Crescent, Chief Dennis Ekpo Street, Phase 1( Road 1 and 3) in Federal Housing Estate, Calabar yesterday morning.
