DG Greater Calabar Capital Dev. Authority dissociates office from illegal levies collection

1. The attention of the Office  of the Director-General of the Greater Calabar Capital City Development Authority(GCCDA) has been drawn to the activities of a group of persons who have gone about demanding levies from the citizenry of the state and Business owners under the name of the Greater Calabar Capital City Development Authority levy.
 
2. The Office of the Director General wishes to, via this medium, dissociates itself and agency from such illegal activities, as the Agency though revenue generating agency but has not engaged or directed any consultant(s) to collect revenues or acts on behalf of the Greater Calabar Capital City Development Authority (GCCDA).
 
3. The Agency is determined to compliment the effort of His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Senator (Prof.) Ben Ayade, aimed at correcting the current unbridled development and urban sprawling in Calabar Metropolis and also seeks to expand infrastructure into new development area for the benefits of the larger populace, to decongest the State Capital.
4. Accordingly, the Director General is suspending every form of financial transactions between the Agency and the public pending further directive. All complaints should be directed to Mr. Henry Ekanem, S.A Special Duties – 08134154170. Director General-08037332854
