Controversial social change agent and lecturer of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), Mr. Joseph Odok Esq.,Ph.D, has been officially suspended from duty in a letter dated referenced UC/R.45A and dated 12 May 2017.
The letter which was signed by the academic institution’s Registrar, Mr. Moses Abang reads in part thus: ‘Based on the Vice Chancellor’s directive, you were queried on April 7 and 11, 2017 over your alleged involvement in acts of official misconduct. You were queried to turn in your responses in 48 hours on receipt of the queries. You are yet to respond to those queries one month after’.

The Vice Chancellor is displeased by this height of insubordination and flagrant disregard… He has therefore directed that you should be suspended from duty.
According to the letter, Mr Odok’s suspension takes effect from Monday 15 May.
However, Odok has countered, via his social media account, to the effect that he had responded to the stated queries.
Alleging that the Vice-Chancellor has been misdirected. He has even gone ahead to publish the Registrar’s receipt of his official response on his social media account (Facebook) account.
Could it be that the University boss was misled?
