Let me put this in simple term for our young guys out there.
You see this stuff called CULTISM, it does not pay. It doesn't put food on any man's table, it doesn't make anyone unilaterally relevant. The moment you are initiated, you are a WALKING CORPSE except God's divine intervention.
Well, well…I know of parents who do not relent in prayers of intercession for their children. That is why some still repentantly stay alive.
In my first year in the higher institution, I admired students' leaders. I wanted to be like them, I wanted to be 'President' also.
You see, passion can drive you through narrow roads and those who escape, escape narrowly.
The system was and is so compromised that if slots are shared in the local government, cult groups are first considered before other meaningful interest groups.
It gets so bad that you can't even combine 'sweet colours' of clothes and wear because you don't want to infuriate cult gangs. Apparently you might be seen as one of them because of colour…I MEAN COLOUR.
But, times are changing. Gone are the days where cultists will harass, intimidate and coerce voters to do according to their paymaster's bidding —steal, boycott justice, kill and maim at will. If you can just identify that individual harassing your life with any umbrella…believe me, if you report to the authorities, they will so make his life miserable.
But you see, we all have a general biased notion that policemen belong to different cult groups and so it is useless getting to them. The notion is so wrong. Get up and challenge your oppressors. Trust me!
The incidents that continually leave the blood of our young, vibrant men spilt over our land should serve as a deterrent and lesson that these associations cannot protect. They represent evil.
They have never produced anything reasonable.
Funny enough all her members are committed members of their various church denominations. I see most of them are protocols to their Pastors.
I am also using this medium to call on the State Government to redirect its resources in maintaining peace and tranquility in Calabar South Local Government Area which is the bed rock of commercialization and tourism in the State.
People are constantly drifting and abandoning the Local Government to low-life activities.
All interest groups, political parties, clubs ecertera operating in this region or whose jurisdiction spans through or across this region must act up now for their own interest.
I am an indigene and I will not allow my abode to be doomed!
