The controversial Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, has argued insistently about his previous statement that President Buhari was on life support during this his last visit to the UK for medical attention.
You would recall that Fayose had in June released a statement alleging that President Buhari was seriously incapacitated, on life support and covets the intercessory Prayers of Nigerians.
The statement which resulted into backlashes and a war of words from those who seems to be pro-buhari and the APC faithfuls. Even though Fayose argued that he had photos to validate his claims then.
In this Story, NHB garnered that Fayose in a recent interview on air, alluded to his earlier claim, informing that just before these recent visits by some governors to Pres.Buhari, he (Buhari) was on a life support machine.
In his words:
"What I said about the president is very clear. I said that the President at a point before these recent visits was incapacitated and has been on a life support.
I stand by it. I have no regret for that statement. You would recall that I said the Handlers of the President should produce evidence to the contrary within 48 hours.
After 4 weeks, they said they went to visit the president. Thank God the President is getting better now but there is no denying that what I said at the time was the truth.
If you go by the statement of the governor of Ebonyi, he said the President's recovery is a miracle, it is divine which means something had gone the other way round before becoming a miracle.
I read in another piece that the President came up like Lazarus from the dead. Well, that is another person saying that. I stand by what I have said. Not in the wish that the President must die.
Don't forget, that the President owes it to us all to declare his state of health. The president's life should be an open book that should be read by everybody"
The question that keeps coming is : Is there an atom of truth in this side story? Who is deceiving who? Is there some form of foul play somewhere.. and by whom? What is the socioeconomic and political relevance of Mr. president's state of health? Are there presently implications for his dwindling state of health?
Many questions begging for answers.
