Paramount Ruler of Etung Donates Land for Building of AYADECARE Specialist Referral Hospital in the Area

The Cross River State Government delegation led by His Excellency, Sen Prof Ben Ayade, the Executive Governor who was represented by the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong over the week took the AYADECARE campaign to Etung Local Government Area of the State where the community identified a large piece of land along the Effraya highway between the immigration checkpoint and the Effraya Police station for the construction of the AYADECARE Specialist Referral Hospital.
At the event Dr. Inyang Asibong hinted that all was set for the immediate construction of the hospital following the directives of His Excellency to this effect. The Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the Governor Ayade-led administration to take the people to a healthcare eldorado as she highlighted the benefits of AYADECARE.
The paramount ruler of Etung L.G.A HRM Ntufam (Dr.) Oru Ojong expressed his delight following the decision of the State Government to start with Etung LGA among the whole eighteen Local Government Areas of the State. In his words His Majesty said “I dreamt about this very recently and I’m delighted it is coming to reality. I feel very happy with this development, my joy cannot be quantified. I am currently on a peace tour across Etung to sensitize the youth on the need to sheat their swords and embrace peace. 
The delegation comprised of the DG CRSPHCDA; Dr. Betta Edu, the S.A. Insurance to the Governor; Mr. Godwin Iyala, the Permanent Secretary and directors from the State Ministry of Health as well as directors from the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency. On ground to receive them were the Member representing Etung in the CRS House of Assembly, Hon. Achor Agbor, the Commissioner for Water Resources in the State, Hon. Gabe Orji, the HOLGA of Etung, Religious leaders, Etung chiefs in council and other prominent stakeholders in the community. 
The Etung residents could not hide their excitement as they were seen visibly trooping the proposed site and some went as far as volunteering to be a part of the construction project.
