APC faithfuls in Cross River Central and Northern Senatorial Districts recently hailed Prof. Eyo Etim Nyong, former gubernatorial candidate, for extending his show of love and goodwill to members of the All Progressives Congress in Cross River during the 2017 Christmas season NegroidHaven can report.
The goodwill which took the form of a tour across the 11 Local Government Areas that makes up both senatorial districts saw Prof. Nyong felicitating with executive members of his party at the chapter and ward levels.
Addressing Members of the party at various Local Government Areas, Barr. Joe Oloko who represented Prof. Nyong said the later had deemed it feet to reach out to grassroot members of his great party who are actually the ones holding the party and to celebrate the yuletide with them.
Prof. Nyong appreciated them for keeping faith with the party while promising them that the years ahead holds better promises for the party.
In their response, chapter chairmen took turn in their respective chapters to appreciate Prof. Nyong for his kind gesture in remembering them during the celebration season.
The chapter Secretary Mr Ibiang Sam Obongho boldly said that in the history of the formation of APC, High Chief Eyo Etim Nyong is the first Party elder/ stalwart that has ever shown such love, since the era of APP and ACN.
While appreciating Prof. Nyong for his gesture, the chapter chairman of Obubra, Mr Smart Obongha said, he has never seen such a love and dedication shown by High Chief Nyong since the era of APC stated in the state. He said Obubra APC will forever remain grateful to him and awaits his advice anytime soon.
The Publicity Secretary on behalf of Ikom Chapter EXCO, Pastor Tasen, said that Ikom chapter will always reciprocate this kind gesture to Prof. Nyong for always having party men at heart, that he will always remain a father to all party faithfuls.
In Obanliku Local Government Area, the Chapter Chairman of the APC, Mr Christopher Apasiche appreciated Prof. Nyong for his kind gesture shown to them even at a time when the party grass-rooters are loosing faith in the party stalwarts.
Also speaking in Obanliku, Mr. Joseph Obun aka one man, one vote, a grass-rooter and ward chairman said, he will never forget the show of love by Prof. Nyong right from the era of APP till date. 'Prof is a man who believes in the grassroot and always show love at all cost.' he concluded.
The chapter chairman of Obudu Mr Matthias Ugbelisho who expressed so much joy and happiness chanting 'Change Ayade 2019', went further to appreciate the good gesture of Prof. Nyong, calling him a fervent, lovable and friendly politician with the touch of trust in service. He concluded by saying Obudu is reactivated.
In Bekwara, the chapter chairman of Bekwara Mr Godwin Oko appreciated the wonderful gesture of Prof. Nyong for remembering Bekwara chapter with the yuletide gift.
The chapter chairman continued by saying that party management has been difficult, that 'no one has ever visited us for the yuletide except the people's Prof.'
The Yala chapter chairman of APC, Engr. Tony Adinya with joy appreciated the love and interest Prof. Nyong has for grass-rooters in APC, also said that the love Prof. Nyong has for the grassroot keeps the party at peace at all level. He further encouraged members of the party to continue in the spirit of togetherness and cohesion.
The chapter chairman Yala prayed that God continues bless the Prof and hears his cry just as he (Prof.) has heard their cry as well as grants him long life.
Hon. Peter Ogi, a chairmanship aspirants in Yala, also noted that Prof. Nyong is the most gallant politicians in Cross River State. Hon. Ogi, state clearly that Prof. Nyong is the kind of Governor we need in Cross River State.
