Syzygistic Systematic Synchronization: Asibong makes 7 hrs presentation of N75B budget

Following in the footsteps of His Excellency, Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade, the Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong, yesterday led a team from the health sector to present a budget of Seventy-five Billion Naira which is tagged, 'Budget of Syzygistic Systematic Synchronization'.
According to the Commissioner, the budget which can also be called a budget of Unity as it cuts across all areas of the Ministry, aims at systematically integrating the over 30 Departments, Boards, Agencies, Schools, Colleges and Health Facilities in the health sector for fluidity of synchronization and collaboration amongst them.
"The upgrading and equipping of all the facilities in the State with state-of-the-art equipments, the effective functionality of the various Departments, Agencies and Boards in the Ministry, the accreditation and renovation of all the schools of nursing and midwifery in the State and the building of the Ayadecare Specialist Hospital and the Calabar International Hospital respectively which we want to achieve with this budget among other things will increase the revenue of the Ministry and also increase the medical tourism potential of the State."
"Our ultimate goal as a health cluster is to provide quality and affordable healthcare services for every resident of the State irrespective of their background and status quo whilst also increasing the revenue sources of the State at large through the engagement of our various boards and agencies".
The Departments and Agencies that made presentations include, the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, General Hospitals, Essential Drugs Program, Schools of Nursing, Eyecare Program, the State Health Insurance Agency, State Nursing and Midwifery Board, Private Hospitals Regulatory Board, amongst others.
