Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Prof. Ben Ayade has directed the exemption of the following category of businesses from paying tax: Restaurants/Eateries, Barbing/ Hairdressing saloons, motor cycles/ Keke Napep and petty shops NegroidHaven can report authoritatively.
This was contained in a release dated 5th February, 2018 and signed by Dr Ukam Edodi, chairman, Cross River state Internal Revenue Service.
Accordingly, all consultants as well as staff of IRS are enjoined to ensure strict compliance of the Governor's directive.
The release also advised affected business owners to take note.
