Monday 28th May 2018 witnessed the first official visit of Mrs Aye Georgina Dakpokpo Esq-led National Executive Council of the Young Democratic Party (YDP) to Cross River state.
Her visit was to resolve the leadership tussle amongst vested groups in the state chapter of the pro-youth political Party. The membership of the YDP in Cross River had aligned themselves along three blocs, namely, the Eteng bloc(after Mr  Eteng Eteng), the Sender bloc (after Mr Grant Emu Sender) and the Ogar bloc (after Mr John Ogar) who are all state chairmanship aspirants in the party in the yet-to-be-conducted state convention.

Through her midwifery, based on some parameters agreed on, by all present Mr John Ogar and his Ogar bloc were neutralised leaving the Eteng bloc and Sender bloc from the central and southern senatorial districts respectively to gun for the top office.
This development characterised the election into acting capacity of Mr Dunamis Archibong as the state chairman of YDP CRS with the mandate to conduct a state-wide convention within three months.
With the intervention of the National Chairperson, it was —’YDP!… The light has come’. Dakpokpo took her leave back to Abuja yesterday.
