Engr Jerome Egbe KSM, aspiring to represent the Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives has been kidnapped at gun point by faceless men of the underworld NegroidHaven has confirmed from the Police Public Relations Officer in Cross River State, Ms Iren Ugbo.
Sources has it that, the PDP aspirant who is also a lecturer at the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) was kidnapped in a dark Ford vehicle yesterday in Calabar, the State capital city while at an automobile workshop.
The source also disclosed that the kidnappers are yet to contact the family for the usual demand for ransom which suggests that it may be political.
The Nigerian Police has informed that they are working on this incident.
While the Head of Department of Civil Engineering in CRUTECH, Dr Desmond Ewa, has called on the State Government to employ resources at its disposal to ensure his staff's release: 'I call on the CRS Govt to please use it's security apparatus and see to the release of Engr. Jerome Egbe of Civil Engineering Dept., CRUTECH from his abductors.'
