Rt. Hon. Nkoro Simon Egbong representing Ikom II Constituency at the floor of the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly has passed on to the great beyond NegroidHaven can report authoritatively.
According to an authoritative source in the House pleading anonymity, Egbong was Deputy Leader of the House and a 3rd term member who just got back from India on medical treatment sponsored by the state government 2 months ago. He has gotten 4 medical interventions from the current administration all to India, he had an undisclosed terminal ailment. NegroidHaven hasn't independently confirmed this last piece of information.
It has been garnered that Egbong's situation got worst a few weeks ago,
He was placed on life support at the Teaching Hospital Calabar until his death.
This will be the second House member to have passed on during active service and for medical reasons, Rt. Hon. Stephen Ukpukpen being the first who died on May this year and buried July. Mrs Abbey Ukpukpen, wife of the deceased has been elected by the constituency to replace the late husband.
