2019: Duke completes tour of C/River north, central ahead of party primary

High Chief Edem Duke an aspirant for the Office of Executive Governor of Cross River State in the All Progressives Congress (APC) has completed his campaign tour of meeting with party faithfuls in the northern senatorial district of the State ahead of the APC primary billed for Saturday 29th September NEGROIDHAVEN has confirmed. 
Our source has it that on Monday, Duke was at three local government areas out of the five which constitutes the senatorial district, particularly, Ogoja, Bekwarra and Yala. While Tuesday saw him taking his tour to the Obanliku and Obudu chapters of the APC. 
According to Mr Joe Oko Odey, the media aide of the guber aspirant, ‘In each of the these LGAs, Duke met with the ward, chapter and state executive council members. On Monday, At Okpoma in Yala, Igoli in Ogoja and Obanliku, he was received by party officials from the LGA. He then moved to Ogoja, then to Bekwarra, and then Yala. We finished the tour of all the 5 LGAs for Cross River North on Tuesday bordering consultation. Then on Tuesday we went to Sankwalla in Obanliku to meet both Obudu and Obanliku delegates there.’
Yala Chief host were Mr Tony Ajinya – the chapter chairman and Mr Churchill Odey, the State Zonal Publicity secretary. Bekwara’s chief host was Val Eneji state vice Chairman for cr north and the Bekwarra chapter chair. Obudu/Obanliku chief host was Takus Godwin who is the state assistant secretary and the chapter chairmen of the two LGAs. 

After concluding the tour of the North, Duke also toured Boki and Abi in Central Senatorial District will return to continue the tour of the central. 
‘During a brief stop in Yakurr on his way back to Calabar, The Yakurr APC Chairman mentioned to Edem Duke in Ugep that they do not have an electricity generator for the Chapter Secretariat. Duke immediately presented funds for the purchase of a generator set. It will be recalled that he had also donated an N280,000 electricity generating set to the Party’s State Secretariat in Calabar recently’, he continued. 
At igoli Ogoja  yesterday he met with the hausa community to console them over the death of a member of the community. They Hausa community had earlier assured him of their support when he visited the Sarki Hausa at his place in August. 
Duke at every LGA donated the whooping sum of one million naira to the party.
