Head of Media and Publicity at the Edem Duke Governorship Campaign Organization, Mr. Joe Odey, has expressed optimism that his Principal, High Chief Edem Duke is poised to win the All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial ticket for Cross River State at the primary election holding tomorrow NEGROIDHAVEN has garnered.
According to Odey, Edem Duke is the leading Governorship aspirant in Cross River and following his consultation tour which took him across the State, members of APC in Cross River are now aware that he has what it takes to win the general election and to bring positive transformation to the State.
Odey who stated that he is confident of victory for Duke despite the best efforts of the four other aspirants also in the race hinged his assurance on what he described as the “experience, pedigree and grassroots appeal” of Edem Duke.
He said, “presently, High Chief Edem Duke is unarguably the savviest and most experienced of the crop of gubernatorial hopefuls we have in Cross River State. Having had first-hand governance and administrative experience at the highest levels of government, it is given that our state will experience a total turnaround for the better if he (Duke) is given the Governorship mandate.
“In addition to his experience, pedigree and grassroots appeal, Edem Duke has successfully enlisted the support of Partymen and women across the state whose yearnings for a better Cross River resonate with the vision Duke has for the State.”
The media aide further posited that although other aspirants, especially those from the Central Senatorial District might put up a fairly substantial showing in their Local Government Areas of origin, Edem Duke remains the man to beat as, according to him, all indices indicate “a victory for Edem Duke.”
