CRYFAA: Campaign group inaugurates 18 LGAs chapter EXCO, Gov’s wife charge youths

Cross River State Youths for Ayade & Atiku (CRYFAA), an affiliate campaign organisation of Atiku #TheIncoming and and Atiku House2House, Thursday, inaugurated the 18 local government area chapter executives in Calabar NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.

 

The inaugural ceremony which held at the College of Health Technology (COHTECH), Calabar and witnessed the attendance of youths from the hills of Obanliku in the northern senatorial of the state through the creeks of Bakassi in the southern axis of the state had the wife of the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Dr Linda Ayade, as the Chairperson of the occasion.

Shortly before the formal inauguration of the chapter executives, the Chief Executive Officer of CRYFAA, Arc Eric Akpo said that the group constitute the largest campaign youth group in the state. Akpo who described CRYFAA as a body of youths who have decided to take the future of the state into their hands, noted that their motivation stems from the fact that Cross River youths under the aegis of CRYFAA have discovered that the ruling All Progressives Congress has failed basically on two counts, security and welfare of Nigerians.

Akpo further informed that CRYFAA is already poised to ensure the electoral victory of His Excellency Mr Atiku Abubakar as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2019 general elections. According to him, the leading opposition political party holds the solution to the challenges of Nigeria. For them, they want a replication of the industrial and agricultural strides of His Excellency the Executive Governor of Cross River, Ayade, across the country.

His words, ‘I want to tell you that this is a body of youths from the 18 local government areas of Cross River State. I can say on authority that this is the biggest conglomeration of youths who have decided to take the future of Cross River State and of course of the Federal Republic of Nigeria into their hands.

‘The youths gathered here have decided that it is enough, that we have suffered too much in the present dispensation under the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress. The youths have discovered that life has become too difficult within this geographical demarcation called Nigeria, that things are not the way they are supposed to be. They have discovered that fundamentally, security and welfare do not exist within this sovereignty called Nigeria. And being that this is the basic responsibility of government to ensure that there is security and welfare, it therefore means the government has failed barring every other sentiments.

‘First, Cross River State youths under this platform have decided that they are going to ensure we have the right government in place at the federal level, we have decided that we want His Excellency Atiku Abubakar the Waziri of Adamawa as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This decision was not just taken in a vacuum because the youths gathered here have  passed through the four walls of primary, secondary and tertiary academic institutions.

‘They have  researched and realised that the People’s Democratic Party has the solution to the problems of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They have looked at the Federal Government under the APC and looked at the state government under the PDP, they have seen the rapid industrialisation strides of His Excellency the digital governor, Senator Professor Ben Ayade, they have looked at his agricultural programme, they have looked at his vision for the education sector, they have looked at how rapidly the economy of Cross River State is changing, how rapidly the landscape is changing, how our horizon are been accentuated with different industries at different levels and they think that what is happening in this microcosm called Cross River State must be exploded to cover the entire Federal Republic of Nigeria.

‘Which is why they have decided that since the PDP has the template which will take Nigeria from a third world country to a first world state, they are going to do everything to ensure that the PDP wins elections from the wards to the Federal level.’

On her part, Dr Linda Ayade, wife of the Executive Governor of Cross River State charged youth to redirect their energies towards the development of the country and the state. She observed that a lot of youths seem to misunderstand the workings of government so much so that they relapse into unfounded criticism on social media platforms against those in power. Dr Ayade cited an instance where if Nigerian youths join voices in demanding through their various social media accounts that President Muhammadu Buhari accents to the Electoral Act as amended by the 8th National Assembly, the country will be better for it. She therefore charged youths to take their future into their hands by being involved and working assiduously to ensure the victory of her husband come 2019.

Mrs Tina Agbor Banku Esq the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs RoseMary Archibong Esq the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Dr Mrs Janet Adah Alotu the Provost of COHTECH graced the occasion.
