The organizers of the Face of Odukpani has during the weekend paid a courtesy visit to the Eyo Ekpo Campaign Organization, pledging support to the organization and seeking partnership in the execution of its project.
Speaking during the courtesy call which held at the campaign office of the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr. Eyo Ekpo, the organizer of the pageantry Mr. Efa Esua stated that the essence of the pageantry is to promote unity amongst the different clans in the Local Government and bring a self of community service to the queens.
Efa who stated that the pageantry was in its second year, said he is in the office of the EECOO because of the support that he received while organizing the program and to seek collaboration between the queens and the organization in the execution of their goals.
Efa added that there has been lots of challenges while putting the pageantry together, but he is positive about the impact the project the queens seek to implement will have on the communities in Odukpani.
Receiving the visitors, the Director of the Eyo Ekpo Campaign Organization Mr. Ambo Ekpeyong congratulated the queens for emerging winners and made them understood that they are now ambassadors of Odukpani and as such all their actions, whether good or bad will have a telling on the whole local government.
He thanked Efa for thinking of such an initiative and tying it back to his home stead, promising that the Eyo Ekpo Campaign organizing is ready to partner with him now and when they go into government, as they have always like to be identified with creativity and hard work.
