Excitement as Eastside Sports Club renovates health centre in Calabar

There was so much excitement in the air as Eastside Sports Club, Calabar handed over the newly renovated Big Qua Health Centre to the Director General Cross River State Primary Health Development Agency. 
Speaking at the occasion, The Chairman of Eastside Sports Club who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Sports, Mr. Effiom Effiwatt said that Eastside Sports Club’s core purpose is building relationships through sports and seeking to add value to humanity through service. The choice of the Big Qua Health Centre according to him, was to support the CRSPHA’s efforts in restoring the confidence of the citizenry in the Primary Health Centre. He stated that the Club’s efforts was supported by The CEO of Abitto Global Services, Mr. Richard Akinaka who pledged to further support the facility with an overhead water tank and a generating set to put to rest the challenges of water and light in the facility. 
In response, the DG-CRSPHCDA Dr. Betta Edu applauded the Club for constantly seeking to add value to humanity and for restoring the confidence of the members of the community to the facility. She expressed gratitude to the governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade for appointing young and pragmatic citizens of  Cross River State into leadership positions which has seen them add value to the state. She also encouraged other Clubs and NGOs to emulate what Eastside Sports Club has done in service to God and humanity. 
The renovation works at the Health Centre saw the Club replacement and repairs of the roof of the facility, repairs of windows, installation of a borehole as well as the repainting of the entire facility.
