The Cross River State Government CRSG has declared Tuesday 30th July a public holiday in the state 'to encourage every Cross Riverian and residents to take part in the Green Carnival during which about one million trees will be planted' NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.
This development is contained in a press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to His Excellency the Executive Governor of the state, Christian Ita.
The statement enjoins corporate entities in the state to 'ensure that they plant trees tomorrow in line with the state government policy on environmental sustainability'.
