Akpagu, wife bag highly revered C’River Traditional Rulers Council chieftaincy titles

Multiple award winning Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Unical, Professor Zana Akpagu and his wife, Mrs. Winnie Akpagu are to be conferred with highly revered Chieftaincy titles by the Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council.
In seperate letters dated August 19th, 2019 and signed by the Traditional Rulers Council Chairman, His Royal Majesty, Etim Okon Edet, the event is billed to hold on Monday, August 26th at the Council of Chiefs Chamber, Governor's office, Calabar by 10:am.
Explaining the council's decision to honour Prof. Akpagu, HRM Edet said that the entire Chiefs in the state have watched the interesting developments in the University of Calabar under his leadership since assuming office and have come to the conclusion that all is well.
According to the letter "as a token of our appreciation of your numerous selfless services provided so far by you as the Vice Chancellor, the Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council will confer a high chieftaincy title 'ETE NKORI CRS' (Tree of Progress of CRS) on you on Monday, August 26".
The council added that the conferment was apt being that it was coming at a time the awardee will be marking his 60th birthday anniversary.
Similarly, the council noted that his wife, Mrs. Winnie Akpagu will be conferred the 'EKA UNWANA CRS' (Mother of light of CRS) alongside her husband.
