Commissioner MIDC, Dr Inyang Asibong resumes office, holds strategic meeting with UN Country Rep in Nigeria

The Commissioner for International Development/Donor Cooperation, Dr Inyang Asibong resumed office on the 30th of December, 2019.
She was received by the PS, Mr Felix Ita and Directors in the Ministry. This was quickly followed by an inaugural management meeting in the office of the Commissioner.
The Commissioner, who thanked the State Governor, Sen Prof Ben Ayade, and his wife Dr Linda Ayade for the opportunity to serve in another capacity promised to consolidate on the gains of her predecessor, Hon Frank Ettah.

In the same vein, she thanked her former Permanent Secretary, the PS, CRSMOH, Dr Joseph Bassey and Directors for being a strong reason behind the success of the Ministry in the last Administration, while encouraging them to give her Successor, Dr Betta Edu the same kind of support.
Later in the day, the Commissioner and the MIDC management team held a strategic meeting with the UN Country Rep. in Nigeria, Mr Edward Kallon. The UN Resident coordinator commended the State Governor, Sen Prof Ben Ayade on a very well packaged Calabar festival and Carnival, and stated the UN commitment to improving the life and well being of all Cross Riverians
