The management of the University of Calabar, UNICAL, yesterday announced the vacancy of the Office of Vice Chancellor.
According to a publication cited by Amb. Gabriel O. Egbe the Registrar of the institution of higher learning, 'The Governing Council of the University of Calabar has declared a vacancy for the position of Vice Chancellor in the University with effect from December 2020. In accordance with the provisions of the University (Miscellaneous Provisions) Decree No. 11 of 1993 (as amended) the Council has commenced the process of filling the vacancy'.
According to the Registrar, of the eleven requirements for the prospective VC, s/he must be a professor for 9 years as at 1st December 2020, and not more than 65 years.
