The 10th Cross River State House of Assembly has passed the CRIDCOM Bill, screened and confirmed members of the Cross River State Diaspora Commission (CRIDCOM) NEGROIDHAVEN has learned.
This event took place on Tuesday at the Assembly Legislative Chambers.
Prior to the passage of the Bill, a public hearing was held on Monday, 28th April 2025, after it successfully passed Second Reading in the State House of Assembly.
The newly established Commission, led by Hon. Otu Okor is mandated to engage Cross Riverians in the diaspora, while promoting participation in State development. This milestone marks a significant step towards harnessing the potential of the diaspora community for the growth and development of Cross River State.
With the confirmation of its members, CRIDCOM is poised to drive diaspora engagement, resource mobilisation, investment promotion, and cultural exchange, ultimately contributing to the State’s progress.
