Calabar– Emmanuel Ironbar, Chief of Staff to Governor Bassey Otu, has inaugurated the executive members of the Cross River State Consultative Forum (CRSCF), a fresh socio-political platform designed to deepen citizen engagement and amplify the voices of Cross Riverians.
New Leadership Structure
The forum will be chaired by Barr. Eyo Nsa Ekpo, with Chief Dr. Julius Okputu as Secretary and Dr. Egbe Ayuk as Vice Chairman. In addition, all 18 Local Government Council Chairmen will serve as coordinators, making the forum a hybrid structure that cuts across grassroots and elite representation.
What the Forum Stands For
Speaking at the inauguration, Chief Ironbar stressed that the forum’s mandate is to:
* Promote and protect the interests of Cross River State
* Provide strategic suggestions to government
* Enlighten and sensitize the citizenry
* Drive inclusive governance under the Governor’s “People First” mantra.
He added that Governor Otu is committed to balanced development across the state and urged the forum to mobilize citizens for the ongoing INEC Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
