“Your Boobs Are Safe…” — CallyAir Meme Takes Over Nigeria’s Cyberspace

…Viral Slogan Sparks Debate on Branding and Public Perception

It’s not every day an airline makes you chuckle, but CallyAir just might have pulled it off — or maybe the internet did it for them. A graphic flying around social media claims the Cross River–owned carrier is telling women: “Your boobs are safe with us, fly with or without bra,” NEGROIDHAVEN can report authoritatively.

The line, inspired by Kenneth Anam a social media user, appeared in a graphic featuring CallyAir’s logo, shared widely on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram. While some users have interpreted the phrase as lighthearted and body-positive, others have criticised it as inappropriate for an airline, particularly one backed by a state government.

On Facebook (Meta), folks are tagging friends with “See your airline o!” and on Instagram, the hashtag #YourBoobsAreSafeWithUs is trending in some circles. Some are calling it “the funniest ad of the year,” others say it’s “classless.”

Thing is — no one’s even sure if it’s real. CallyAir’s official pages are still in their usual PG-rated zone, showing off new planes, pretty skies, and tourism shots. Not a bra in sight.

Whether it’s a marketing stunt or just a meme that escaped from someone’s Canva account especially netizen Anam, it’s working — everyone’s talking about CallyAir. And in the crowded airline space, maybe that’s exactly the point.

The online conversation reflects a cultural split — younger audiences have largely embraced the humour, while conservative voices have expressed disapproval.

One thing’s certain: Nigeria’s cyberspace will always find a way to keep the skies interesting.
