On behalf of myself, my immediate family and the Office of Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River on Primary Healthcare, I heartily felicitate with the Executive Governor of Cross River state, His Excellency Senator Professor Benedict Ayade; the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu; the indefatigable Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong and indeed all Cross Riverians in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas commemorates the birth of the saviour of the world –our Lord Jesus Christ, especially taking cognizance of the joy, hope, love and peace that comes with the realisation that divinity incarnated in human form for the salvation of humanity. These historical facts still find expression and relevance even in our contemporary times.
Accordingly, as we join billions of Christians and non Christians alike across cultures, races, geographies and peoples to celebrate the essence of this year’s Yuletide, may the joy and hope and peace and love that this season carries with it, invade every facet of our lives –individually, and as a people; particularly, may our culture, politics and economy experience the salvation of Christ.
